Effectiveness of combination of acetylcysteine and ambroxol in treatment of patients with acute respiratory deseases and allergic history burden

Every year around the world are recorded from 10 to 130 million cases of flu and acute respiratory viral infections (ARI). Each year about 10-14 million people get sick with flu and ARI, accounting for 95% of all reported cases of infectious diseases in Ukraine. The reasons for increase of morbidity are considered population density growth, "greenhouse" living conditions (people are less adapted to changes of temperature), environmental degradation (air pollution, which leads to a weakening of protective mechanisms of the upper respiratory tract), global climate changes (sharp fluctuations of temperature during the off-season period), low coverage of population with preventive vaccination.

Conclusions

The results of study conducted demonstrate expediency and effectiveness of PulmoLOR® combined medicine (MoviHealth, Switzerland) in medical treatment use of acute respiratory infections of patients with allergic history for more rapid reduction of main clinical manifestations of disease (cough, sputum, runny nose), elimination of shortness of breath, reduces the eosinophil’s level and IgE total blood, which, in its turn, will help to reduce the severity and manifestations of possible allergic reactions that lead to violations of bronchial patency with ARI.
