Evidence of safety and efficacy of meloxicam orodispersible form (Movixicam® ODT) in patients with pain in lower back

This article highlights the results of a study on the safety and effectiveness of Moviхiсam® ODT in patients with pain in the lower back. The use of meloxicam in the treatment of patients with LBP is effective and safe, however, in the case of using the orodispersible form, it turned out to be safer for the liver. ALT and AST levels in patients receiving Movixicam® ODT were significantly lower than those in group II receiving tablet meloxicam. Pain relief occurs faster, and a probably more pronounced decrease in the intensity of the pain syndrome was recorded already an hour after taking medicine.
